A day at the horse races at the Zarzuela Hippodrome
Spend a day watching the races at this stunning venue next to the Monte de El Pardo forest. It is the perfect place to enjoy good food and a form of leisure which has been popular in Spain for many years. Situated in one of the most emblematic spots in the capital, the racecourse boasts large outdoor areas and offers entertainment for the whole family (under 14s are allowed in for free). Kids will not only be able to enjoy the beauty of the actual horses, but will also have access to large green areas, bouncy castles, a kiddies' park, ponies, face and body painting services and a dance area, all free of charge. After the resounding summer success of the Nights at the Racetrack (Las Noches del Hipódromo), which recorded unprecedented attendance levels on June and July, with more than 50,000 persons, this Autumn, the racetrack HIPODROMO DE LA ZARZUELA, with the help of RedKampus, takes again the reins of the leisure scene in the capital, with an irresistible sports, gastronomic and cultural proposal: 'Sundays at the Racetrack' ('Los domingos, al Hipódromo').
